Bio
My love for theatre has been well known for quite some time, and only recently have I had the resources to develop my new-found love of travel. When I wanted a separate place to put my pictures and some stories I had a hard time thinking of a new user name. I soon realized that a name I had used only once or twice before was perfect for this, with no need to create something new. After the sky. There is a song in Into the Woods which contains the following:

When you're way up high, and you're on your own,
In a world like none that you've ever known,
Where the sky's like lead, and the earth's like stone,
You're free to do whatever pleases you.
Exploring things you'd never dared,
....
And it's then that you miss all the things you've known,
And the world you've left, and the little you own;
The roof, the house, and the world you'd never thought to explore.
And you think of all of the things you'd seen.
And you wish that you could live in-between.
And you're back again, only different than before.
After the sky

Certainly it is about getting out and seeing new places and learning what you can from them. However, it is also largely about the things that chance within one’s self when they embrace a challenge and step out of their comfort zone. When one returns to the things that they had left behind they often see them in a new way. And it’s bittersweet because you have been somewhere amazing, but it is not truly where you belong. Thus the longing for something in-between, something that allows for both the exploration and the comfort.
